Co-operative pub takes CAMRA Pub of the Year crown A small village pub which was saved from closure by the local community has won CAMRA‘s National Pub of the Year award. When the George & Dragon pub in Hudswell closed in 2008 it left the small North Yorkshire village with no other facilities for its residents apart from a village hall. The Craft Beer Co. which operates seven sites across London and one in Brighton, has reported like for likes up 11.3% 2016 against 2015 The news comes just a few weeks after the successful opening of their latest venue in London’s Limehouse and the first years trading at their site in the City on St. Mary Axe, in the shadow of the Gherkin.
