CAMRA names their best four pubs in the country The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has named the best four pubs in the country as part of its Pub of the Year competition. Weavers Real Ale House, Kidderminster This micropub is deceptively spacious inside, with bench seating along the sides, plenty of tables and a conversational atmosphere. Co-operative pub takes CAMRA Pub of the Year crown A small village pub which was saved from closure by the local community has won CAMRA‘s National Pub of the Year award. When the George & Dragon pub in Hudswell closed in 2008 it left the small North Yorkshire village with no other facilities for its residents apart from a village hall.
