Running from the 14th to the 17th of August at The Oval Space, Bethnal Green; The festival was born because “so much great beer made in the UK doesn’t get recognition it deserves”. SIBA unveils speakers for BeerX

The speakers, who will address BeerX on Thursday 13 March, are: Tim Martin, founder of JD Wetherspoon; Dr Charlie Bamforth, UK and USA brewing industry guru; Steve Grossman of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Nicky Morgan, economic secretary to the treasury. Also included will be presentations by Fuller’s head brewer John Keeling and Roger Ryman of St Austell Brewery, who will share their brewing expertise. SIBA North West regional competition and festival

The event is being held at The Beer Hall in Staveley from Thursday October 24 to Saturday 26 2013. Society of Independent Brewers North West brewers have entered their finest ales into the showcase in the hope of securing one of 13 category titles. The overall championship winner will secure a place on the bar of the brewer’s society’s national BeerX event in 2014, plus the chance to supply JDWetherspoon.
